Renea Alfonso, PT

Bio

Meet Renea Alfonso, one of our incredible Physical Therapists here at the Pediatrics and

Autism Center!Renea graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1998 in the Philippines and began

her PT career in New York after immigrating to the U.S. in 2004. She has since built an

impressive career across multiple settings—including skilled nursing facilities, home health,

and outpatient care—and currently holds active PT licenses in New York, Pennsylvania, and

Louisiana.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Renea discovered a passion for telehealth physical

therapy, which ultimately led her to her true calling: working with children with autism in

school-based settings. She finds it deeply rewarding to help children progress from

significant functional challenges to meaningful gross motor skills, while building confidence,

independence, and participation along the way. Renea believes that trust and rapport are

the foundation of successful therapy—and once that bond is formed, real growth begins.

Outside of work, Renea enjoys participating in mission work through her church and

spending time walking trails with her husband, finding balance and renewal in nature.

We’re so grateful to have Renea on our team and thankful for the heart, experience, and

dedication she brings to our kids every day!
