Ben Nicholson

Bio

Ben Nicholson is a seasoned behavior analyst and educator with over a decade of experience in supporting children and families across North Louisiana. As the 63rd Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Louisiana and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Ben brings a deep well of knowledge, clinical expertise, and compassionate care to his practice.

Ben began his career as a school psychologist in Richland Parish, where he developed a strong foundation in assessment, intervention, and collaborative support. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Louisiana Tech University, as well as both a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Specialist degree in School Psychology from the nationally accredited program at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He later completed a postgraduate certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas.

Ben is a published researcher, having authored work on the correlation between Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Internet addiction. Throughout his career, he has trained numerous BCBAs across North Louisiana and has led trainings and delivered presentations for a variety of professional and community audiences, including the Louisiana Association of Medical Psychologists and family support organizations.

In addition to his clinical work, Ben has extensive experience in leadership and youth services. He served for several years as a Howse Supervisor at the United Methodist Children’s Home in Ruston, Louisiana, and dedicated nearly a decade as the Director of Youth Ministries at Saint Paul United Methodist Church.

With specialized training in the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and a range of behavioral conditions, Ben continues to serve as a trusted consultant for schools and programs supporting children and families affected by autism. He is deeply committed to improving the lives of others and remains an active advocate in the autism community.

Ben has been married for over 20 years and is the proud father of three children. His professional and personal life reflect a steadfast dedication to changing lives and shaping futures for children and families across Louisiana.
